The cottage was situated just off the A1 and was very handy to visit and explore the area. I would recommend this cottage very highly as Jan and John made us very welcome and it felt like home, not a holiday let. My husband and I are hoping to go back next year. The Plough Inn just over a mile away was very friendly and the food was good.

A very comfortable cottage with a lovely welcome which included flowers and a bowl of fruit. It was in a beautiful part of Northumberland with lots of interesting places to explore.

I would definitely recommend this holiday, the location was ideal to explore what Northumberland had to offer and also the Scottish Borders. The cottage was a high standard, beautifully furnished and set in a peaceful countryside location, as we always take our dog with us it had to be dog friendly too. Would definitley visit again, as plenty to do and see.

Actually that's NOT correct it is even better than the website suggests!!!!
We would AND have already recommended it to friends and we are intending on rebooking another week next year. It was our first cottage through hoseasons and we were very impressed at the standard.

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage in a peaceful rural setting. Although there were just the two of us, it will accommodate four people easily (having both a shower room and bathroom upstairs). Safe parking by the side of the cottage for two-three vehicles was a definite plus. The cottage is well situated for a holiday spent exploring the Scottish borders and North Northumberland (Berwick-upon-Tweed is only about 5 miles away). I would definitely recommend it.

An absolutely beautiful cottage, very well equipped to a very high standard. Everything we could possibly need was provided and the cottage was impeccably clean and well decorated and furnished. An excellent base in a stunningly beautiful county.

The owners have gone to a great effort to provide every home comfort in the accommodation, even down to a 'pond kit' (flasks etc.) to take down and enjoy by the delightful pond next to the property. The owners, who live next door, could not have been more helpful and I have not the slightest reservation in thoroughly recommending the accommodation.
