I would definitely recommend this cottage to others, a great base, very cosy, welcoming and relaxing. Mrs B, Leeds, West Yorkshire 05 January 2011
Cottage felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent base for exploring Northumberland and Scotland. Mrs B, Redcar, Cleveland 08 November 2010
Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Northumberland. Mrs H, Brighouse, West Yorkshire 05 November 2010
The cottage was situated just off the A1 and was very handy to visit and explore the area. I would recommend this cottage very highly as Jan and John made us very welcome and it felt like home, not a holiday let. My husband and I are hoping to go back next year. The Plough Inn just over a mile away was very friendly and the food was good. Mrs H, Sleaford, Lincolnshire 22 September 2010
A very comfortable cottage with a lovely welcome which included flowers and a bowl of fruit. It was in a beautiful part of Northumberland with lots of interesting places to explore. Mr H, Dalton-in-furness, Cumbria 10 August 2010
Plenty of lovely places to visit nearby, great for birdwatching, walks and sightseeing. Mrs. T, LOWESTOFT, Suffolk 02 August 2010
I would definitely recommend this holiday, the location was ideal to explore what Northumberland had to offer and also the Scottish Borders. The cottage was a high standard, beautifully furnished and set in a peaceful countryside location, as we always take our dog with us it had to be dog friendly too. Would definitley visit again, as plenty to do and see. Mrs S, Wakefield 28 July 2010
It does exactly what it says on the website.
Actually that's NOT correct it is even better than the website suggests!!!!
We would AND have already recommended it to friends and we are intending on rebooking another week next year. It was our first cottage through hoseasons and we were very impressed at the standard. Mr R, LEEDS, West Yorkshire 13 June 2010
We have already recommended this holiday break to several friends who hope to book in the near future. We received a very warm reception and the house was beautiful and in a great quiet location yet not to far from all the local attractions. Mrs S, Glasgow, Lanarkshire 07 May 2010
The cottage was lovely and in an absolutely fantastic setting. Off the beaten track, with an abundance of wildlife and tranquility on the door step. Mr A, DARWEN, Lancashire 26 April 2010
This is a lovely, comfortable cottage in a peaceful rural setting. Although there were just the two of us, it will accommodate four people easily (having both a shower room and bathroom upstairs). Safe parking by the side of the cottage for two-three vehicles was a definite plus. The cottage is well situated for a holiday spent exploring the Scottish borders and North Northumberland (Berwick-upon-Tweed is only about 5 miles away). I would definitely recommend it. Dr J, STOKE-ON-TRENT, Cheshire 27 July 2009
An absolutely beautiful cottage, very well equipped to a very high standard. Everything we could possibly need was provided and the cottage was impeccably clean and well decorated and furnished. An excellent base in a stunningly beautiful county. Mr B, COVENTRY 21 June 2009
We were given a very warm welcome, the accommodation was just like home, and the area is one of outstanding beauty with lots of historical interest. Mr P, SLEAFORD 05 June 2009
Very peaceful, very clean, hassle free and a good base for exploring the area. Mr D, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria 05 June 2009
Best cottage we have stayed in. Mrs F, Cirencester, Gloucestershire 17 January 2009
The owners have gone to a great effort to provide every home comfort in the accommodation, even down to a 'pond kit' (flasks etc.) to take down and enjoy by the delightful pond next to the property. The owners, who live next door, could not have been more helpful and I have not the slightest reservation in thoroughly recommending the accommodation. Mr W, Petersfield 04 October 2008
A lovely cottage in very good location, extremely helpful owners and ideal for Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle etc. Mr S, Guildford, Surrey 21 September 2007
This is an exceptional property in an excellant location. Mr M, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire 23 June 2007
